However, confronted by budget issues and a disastrous snake-handling mishap, the duo decides to shoot it guerrilla style, ultimately encountering with a very real giant anaconda that wants to eat them. A-List Cast Lineup The new Anaconda has some beloved names attached: Adventure comedy veteran the energetic Jack Black and Ant-Man lead the charismatic Paul Rudd play wannabe filmmakers Doug and Jeff, in that order. Judging by the initial preview, unveiled this week, that Jack Black energy and Paul Rudd charm should work wonders in rendering Anaconda highly entertaining. Seeing Black sprint by a massive serpent while hauling a dead boar strapped to his body epitomizes cinematic fun. Additional Stars and Creative Team Alongside the leads for this snake-filled adventure are Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello. Anaconda comes from director Tom Gormican (the meta-comedy Massive Talent), written by Gormican and Kevin Etten (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F). Theatrical Debut Anaconda, the reboot, arrives in cinemas this Christmas Day.
